About

I’m a runner, a coach and a personal trainer, and I’d love to help you towards your goals!

Let’s start with running first – in one way or another, I’ve always been a runner.

In my teens, running was my way of staying fit for playing squash. In my early twenties it became what I did when it was too dark or rainy to go climbing…

But it quickly became, and has remained, my absolute passion. Running is my mindfulness, my stress-buster and my joy! I’ve run roads, trails, fells and skylines, across distances from 5k through to 50 mile ultras and multiday events. I love it all, but I’m happiest when the distances are long and the terrain arduous…

I’ve been a beginner. I’ve had injuries. I’ve trained too hard and not hard enough. At times I’ve run obsessively, and at others lost my mojo completely. I’ve ignored strength & conditioning and then learnt through bitter experience that I shouldn’t… Sometimes running has massaged my ego nicely. Sometimes it’s humbled me completely.

I’ve had to take time out from running whilst pregnant and newly postnatal, and experienced the confusing frustration of trying to build up fitness again afterwards.

And I’ve learned that when I use my first-hand understanding of running, combined with the knowledge I’ve gained through years of research and study to help others experience the joys of running success – however you may define that – well that makes me tick!

So I am, unapologetically, I committed runner… BUT what I am so passionate about when it comes to coaching is using my expertise to take somebody from where they are now to where they’d like to be.

I’ve experienced myself the difficulties of having something you’d like to do, and your body not letting you do it. I love helping people overcome those difficulties – the human body is an absolutely amazing tool which, when it’s properly conditioned, can enable so many amazing experiences for you!

Alongside runners, I’ve helped rowers, netball players, triathletes, rock climbers and mountain bikers. I’ve helped people who want to lose weight, people who want to be fit enough to chase their kids around the park, people who want to improve their self confidence and mental health and people who want to just feel more capable in life… If you have a fitness or sporting goal, one that your body won’t currently let you achieve, then I want to help!
